Fund Administration and Grantmaking
LSS provides fiduciary management services for healthcare and public-sector clients through its HIPAA-compliant fund administration portal. Funding programs include housing deposits and housing related flex funds (e.g., security and utility deposits, adaptive aids, and household items) for a national managed care organization, grantmaking services for state health plans, and grant management for public-sector clients, serving Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Nevada, North Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Outreach and Case Management
LSS supported the California Department of Housing and Community Development in the implementation of the state’s first allocation of CDBG-DR funds from HUD via the ReCoverCA Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Program, a total of more than $500 million in federal funding managed by the state to assist households impacted by wildfire and other disasters in counties across the state. LSS staff assisted with policy and procedure development and managed community outreach activities for 2017, 2018, 2020, and 2021 program years. The LSS team developed outreach plans specific to each program year, conducted county-specific market research, produced marketing and communications materials, coordinated with hundreds of local nonprofit organizations and local government entities, contributed to program compliance monitoring and reporting, and ensured ADA accessibility of program materials.
